5 Things NOT To Do In Your Home Based Business!

There are a lot of articles out there dedicated to telling you what you should do in a home based business. I wanted to do something a little different. So here are the top 5 things you should NOT do in your home based business.

1. Don’t Set Unrealistic Goals

In a home based business almost anything is possible. However, if your goal is going to be to make $100,000 a year you shouldn’t expect to make that kind of money in your first year if you’re just starting out. If your goals are unrealistic you’re going to get very disappointed very quickly and that will lead to you giving up entirely. Your goals should always be aggressive about doable.

2. Don’t Go More Than A Couple Of Days Without Working Your Business

It’s ok to take a weeks vacation a couple times a year perhaps. But anything more than that isn’t good especially when you’re just starting out. You want to get as much work done as possible in your first couple of years so that when you’re making a lot of money you’ll have the freedom to take longer vacations and only work when you want to work. If you’re just starting out in your business you shouldn’t take a break for longer than a couple of days at a time. Ideally you should do something (even if it’s small) for your business every day.

3. Don’t Keep Your Business Hidden From Friends And Family

Working from home is nothing to be ashamed of. So don’t act like you’ve done something wrong by keeping your new business from friends and family. The deserve to know about your new business and they’ll probably only want to support you in it.

4. Don’t Try To Figure It All Out Yourself

Listen to the people who have come before you in your business! If they’ve had success they can show you how to have some of your own. You’re not in this alone. Learn from the people who know what they’re talking about!

5. Don’t Let Your Failures Ruin Your Business

Everyone has some things in their past that they’d like to forget about. Everyone has failures. It’s how you deal with those failures that defines whether or not you’re going to have success. Don’t worry about your mistakes. Learn from them and keep on going!
