If you have kids and you work from home you might be wondering if there is a way to get your family more involved in your home based business. By getting your kids involved in your business you not only help yourself but you help your family to see it as their business as well! No matter what your children’s ages are there are some really good ways that you can help them get involved in your home based business. If that sounds like something you want to do keep reading because I’m about to give you some awesome tips that will make working from home a family affair!
One way to get your kids involved is to show them your goals and give them a reward for each time you reach one of them. So say that you want to work at least 10 hours a week. You can let your kids know that and have them remind you to work each day. This is good for you because it will help keep you motivated and for every week you reach your goal you can go out to dinner at a place that’s fun for the kids, or have a movie night or all go out for ice cream.
Another thing you can do is ask your kids to cook dinner one or two nights a week. Let them plan the menu and serve whatever they like. That way you can use that extra time to work on your business and they feel like they’re really helping out. Of course this only works with children who are old enough to work in the kitchen but it will really give them a sense that they are helping out the family and it will save you from one less thing to do.
Next you can have each of your children write a list of things they want to do or places they want to visit once you reach your ultimate goal. Every time you don’t feel like working you can pull out those lists and know that you’re not just doing this for you but you’re doing it for your entire family.
Finally, If you have a child who is good online you can have him create a Myspace page or a blog for your business. Also, have them maintain the website that they create. This will give them ownership over a part of your business and every time you sign someone up from that web page you can celebrate with your child.
These are just a few ideas to help you get your kids involved in your business. Of course there are lots more so use these and think of your own! When you get your family more involved in your business you will make more money and become more united as a team!
