How Often Are You Looking Your Goals In The Eye?

I’ve written many articles about the importance of having goals in network marketing. However, it’s not just enough to have goals you have to be reminded of them constantly. Anyone can sit down and write out a list of goals and then put the piece of paper away and forget about it.

However, it is the people who are constantly reminding themselves of what they want to accomplish that will probably end up making their dreams a reality. If you don’t know how to do this listen up because I’m going to give you 4 ways to look your dreams and goals in the eye each and every day.

1. Put Pictures On Your Bathroom Mirror

Looking your goals in the eye means putting them in a place that you can and will see them every day. For this reason there is no better place than your bathroom mirror. At the bare minimum you’ll be seeing the pictures at least a couple times a day and usually more. Get a magazine and cut out images the represent your goals. Or put up pictures of your dream home, car or vacation. You can even put up pictures of yourself at your happiest.

Looking at these visual reminders of what you want will help set the tone for the day and keep you motivated through the week.

2. Put Your List In Your Car

Stuck in traffic on the way to work? If you have your list of goals on the visor of your car or somewhere where you can see it easily you can mediate on what your life will be like once you don’t have the grind of the 9-5.

3. Put Pictures On Your Computer

If you can change the desktop background on your computer at work or home try to change it to something that will motivate you. Like a place you want to go on vacation to. Or a picture of your children. Or a picture of the car you want to drive once your business picks up. This is just a subtle way to keep you on track with your business and keep in the right frame of mind even at work.

This also works really well for your home computer where you’ll probably be doing a lot of work on your business.

4. Always Have Your List With You

If you’re a guy keep your list of goals and dreams in your wallet and if you’re a woman keep it in your purse. You should always be able to pull out a copy of your list whenever you’re feeling low on motivation or you just need something positive to get you through the day.

Another great way to set up your monthly goals is by how many people you get to your local meetings each month. Obviously the more people who you can show your business presentation to the better to by setting a monthly goal you can see if you’re doing enough to really grow your business and move forward in the right direction.

As you’re thinking about your monthly goal and what you want it to be you have to remember that it needs to be both realistic and aggressive. This can be a hard line for some people to walk. If you set your goal too low you’ll probably meet it each month but you won’t be moving your business forward very much. And of course if you set yourself up for a goal that’s too aggressive you run the risk of never being able to meet it and setting yourself up for failure.

To get a good idea about what your monthly goal should be you might want to talk to people who are really working and having success in your company. Ask them for advice on setting goals that will help you reach your long term goal faster.

If Back 15 - 20 years ago someone said they ran a home based business, the first thing that would have come to mind, is that they did some type of physical work from home.
